Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the magnetic head with equal characteristics easily, by using Mn.Zn ferrite having a prescribed average particle diameter and orientation as a core.
CONSTITUTION: Head cores 1 opposed to each other via a magnetic gap 2 are formed with Mn.Zn ferrite having ≤20μm average particle diameter and orientation. It is preferable that the porosity of said ferrite is ≤0.3%. At least, one of (110) plane and (111) plane of the Mn.Zn ferrite is preferably oriented. Thus, the magnetic heads with greater output and S/N and less in the variance of the both can be obtained.
