PURPOSE: To decrease a leakage magnetic flux and to improve S/N at the time of reproduction by providing a thin superconductive film on a surface which has a relation of a nearly normal plane with the thickness direction of cores and is at least near a gap part.
CONSTITUTION: The thin superconductive film 7 is formed on the cores 2 and the end faces 6a, 6b of a gap member 3 having the relation of nearly the normal plane with the direction of a track width (t). A magnetic flux is generated near the gap part as well when an electric signal of a high frequency is impressed to a coil 4, but since the thin superconductive film 7 is formed, the reaction magnetic field by the Meissner effect is formed and the leakage magnetic flux from the thin superconductive film 7 is eliminated. The magnetic fluxes which are going to be distributed at the width above the track width (t) of a magnetic head 1 if magnetization patterns are going to be formed continuously at the track width (t) are, therefore, decreased. The magnetization patterns having no superposition with the adjacent tracks are thereby formed with the magnetic media and the reproduction signal of good S/N is obtainable at the time of reproducing.
