PURPOSE: To change the conveying method of a magnetic and IC card from an automatic one to a manual one by providing a mouthpiece having projecting shape from a reader/writer main body at the front surface of the reader/writer main body composed of a box.
CONSTITUTION: A mouthpiece 3 having the projecting shape from a reader/writer main body 1 is provided at the front surface of the reader/writer main body 1 composed of the box. By providing, at the mouthpiece 3, an inserting port 4 to insert the magnetic and IC card, and a magnetic head part in the side direction of the recessed part 5, the magnetic and IC card can be manually conveyed. Thus, the automatic conveying system of the magnetic and IC card is made unnecessary, the costs are lowered and the large effectiveness for a miniaturization is attained.
