Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic identification device which enables easier sensitivity adjustment of a magneto-sensitive unit of each channel compared with conventional ones that magnetically identify a magnetic medium such as bank notes and paper sheets.SOLUTION: A magnetic identification device for identifying magnetic media is provided, comprising; a plurality of magnets arranged in parallel to a facing surface of a magnetic medium; a magneto-sensitive element that is disposed between each pair of the adjacent magnets to detect a magnetic field generated between the magnets; and magnetic field generators that are disposed on a side opposite the facing surface side with respect to the magneto-sensitive elements and generate magnetic fields when energized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
