PURPOSE: To perform magnetic image recording on one magnetic tape for several hours by repeating magnetic image recording in many lines and in parallel on a magnetic tape of small width in stop motion at constant intervals by using a recording-reproducing head.

CONSTITUTION: Every time head fitting disk 5 rotates once, cam piece 18 for upwards and downwards motion is rotated around shaft 17 by 1/50 time and on the circumferential surface of this cam piece 18, the lower end of driving shaft 3 of head fitting disk 5 is supported in slide contact from the lowest part to the highest part. Either of a couple of recording-reproducing heads 4 and 4', i.e. head 4 is a little bit less in size than the other head 4' and both heads run on the surface of magnetic tape 15 by turns for magnetic image recording through window opening 7 of tape guide 8. Driving shaft 3 provided atop of head fitting disk 5 is supported on the circumferential surface of cam piece 18 that rotates intemittently by 1/50 time together with shaft 17 every time head fitting disk 5 rotates once and disk 5 ascends by fine extent at every rotation, so that heads 4 and 4' will perform recording in 100 parallel lines.
