Abstract:
To provide a means which makes it possible for a magnetic levitation train to continue its smooth run even if quenching occurred to the superconducting magnets on an intermediate truck supporting a magnetic levitation train.
Members 7 are provided between two neighboring car bodies to constrain their relative, vertical movement, letting compressive force and tensile force of the vertical direction act on coil springs 74, 75. Two car bodies 1a, 1b are each connected to a truck 2b via two air springs 5. The magnetic levitation train in enabled to run on levitation by electrodynamic suspension generated by superconducting magnets provided on the truck 2b and ground coils 9 provided on a guideway.
