Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic material using a TbCu7 type crystal phase, having high residual magnetic flux density as the main phase.
SOLUTION: This magnetic material has a TbCu7 type crystal phase structure as a main phase which is expressed by the general formula R1xR 2xBzAuM100-x-y-z-u, where, R1 is at least one kind of rare earth element (containing Y), R2 is at least one kind of element selected from Zr, Hf, and Sc, A is at least one kind of element selected from H, N, C and P, M is at least one element of Fe and Co, and (x), (y), (z), and (u) is atom % respectively 2≤X, 4≤x+y≤20, 0.001≤z≤10, and 0≤u≤20 and a main phase has TbCu7 type crystal structure.
