Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic memory capable of performing stable recording, by suppressing the occurrence of inversion errors.SOLUTION: A magnetic memory includes a spin orbital layer where spin polarization electrons are produced by a current, a magnetic memory element having a lamination structure consisting of a magnetic layer, magnetization direction of which changes according to the information to be recorded, and an insulation layer, and provided on the spin orbital layer, and a voltage application layer for applying a voltage to the magnetic layer via the insulation layer. The voltage application layer applies a voltage to the magnetic layer at the same time as a current flows to the spin orbital layer, thus changing magnetic anisotropy or the magnetic brake constant of the magnetic layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
