Title:
MAGNETIC METAL WIRE FOR IRON CORE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56167302
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce iron loss by leakage flux in a transversal axis by coating and covering the surface of a magnetic metal wire wound around the iron core for an inductor heater, transformer or the like with an inorganic or organic insulating layer or these compound insulating layer.

CONSTITUTION: The following surface treatment is applied to a magnetic metal wire such as a mild steel wire or the like wound around the iron core for an electrical machine or the like. Namely, the surface of the mild steel wire is purified to apply aluminium plating and an Alumite insulating layer is produced by oxidation treatment. Or the mild steel wire is coated and covered by applying or baking a macromolecular material such as an organic insulating agent, for example, insulating varnish, plastic coating material or the like or by glass, asbestos, slag wire fiber to compose a magnet metal wire. After that, the metal wire is wound while applying adhesive to a spool and the metal wire is taken out of the spool after hardening. In this way, the conductive path of eddy current generated by leakage flux in a transversal direction becomes narrow and the absolute value of eddy current is reduced. Therefore, iron loss is reduced and an incerase in temperature is also decreased.
