Abstract:

To provide a magnetic particle which presents ferromagnetism, is not easily aggregated, and can be applied regardless of the quality of a material of a support, and to provide a production method, and a magnetic recording medium.

A magnetic particle having a ferromagnetic ordered alloy phase is characterized by being formed of a surface in contact with an organic substance. In addition, the magnetic particle having the ferromagnetic ordered alloy phase is characterized by being formed by producing an alloy particle which can form the ferromagnetic ordered alloy phase and giving annealing to a solvent. A method of producing the magnetic particle having the ferromagnetic ordered alloy phase is characterized in that the alloy particle which can form the ferromagnetic ordered alloy phase is produced, oxidation is given to the alloy particle, and then the annealing is given in the solvent. A magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer is characterized in that the magnetic layer contains the magnetic particle.
