Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase a recording density, and to enable a long time recording and reproduction by specifying the pitch of a truck, the diameter of a rotatry drum, and the rotational speed of the rotatry drum.
CONSTITUTION: The pitch of the truck prepared on a magnetic tape 78 by magnetic heads 13A and 13B is less than 5.5μm, the diameter of a rotatry drum 76 is selected to be less than 25mm, and the rotational speed of the rotatry drum 76 is less than 150rps. As the result, the improvement of the linearity of the truck, and the decrease of a trucking error can be operated, and the truck can be prepared by a narrow truck pitch without interposed a guard band on the magnetic tape 78. Thus, the long time recording can be operated.
