PURPOSE: To obtain large reproduced output and to enhance a resolving power by forming magnetic films in the form of magnetically separating acicular magnetic material each having a set length nearly at equal intervals on a base body and providing the films in such a manner that the major axis direction of the acicular magnetic materials coincide nearly with the traveling direction of a magnetic head.
CONSTITUTION: After a resist is applied on a base body, acicular grooves which have the set size and are arrayed at the specified intervals in the traveling direction 4 of the magnetic head are formed by a lift off method by means of lithographic technique. The magnetic materials 2 are thereafter filled in the acicular grooves by, for example, a plating method to form the magnetic films in the form that the acicular magnetic materials 2 array at the specified intervals in the prescribed direction and are magnetically separated. The recording medium of the high output and low noises is produced in this way.
