Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form the magnetic recording medium capable of obtaining a relatively large reproduced signal and also suppressing a medium noise in little and obtaining a sufficiently large S/N.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic layers are formed in the multilayer structure consisting of a lower magnetic layer 3 and an upper magnetic layer 5, and the intermediate layer 4 containing the nitride of an alloy containing a magnetic material is provided between the magnetic layers, and the content of the nitrogen in the intermediate layer specified at 1-33atom%.
