Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording and reproducing device that can display a cause resulting in disabled reservation execution when reserved video recording cannot be executed depending on conditions of a broadcast station side or a recording medium whose video recording is available is not in existence or the like.
SOLUTION: In the case that an output of a received video recording permission detection section 15 indicates a video recording inhibit signal, when broadcast of a broadcast program whose reservation is set by video recording permission information from a reserved video recording setting section 20 and whose reservation is registered by a reservation registration section 21 is started, a fact that a video recording permission signal is changed into the video recording inhibit signal is added to reserved information that is reserved and registered in the reservation registration section 21, the result is registered in a reservation result recording section 22 as a reservation result and a display section 22 displays the reservation result. Thus, a cause to disabled reservation video recording can be recognized.
