Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce deterioration of a window margin due to a nonobjective waveform by arranging a max. number of '0' data on both sides of '11' data of hexadecimal notation in accordance with a recording system in a data of a sync area of a data format. CONSTITUTION:For example, in an FD format of MFM modulation, leading parts of an ID field A and a data field B of each sector are provided with the sync areas 11 and 12 respectively. In the sync areas 11 and 12, '00H' data and '110H' data (H is denoted as hexadecimal number) are recorded. The '00H' data is continuously recorded in a prescribed section from the beginning of the area, while the '110H' data is continuously recorded until the end of the area in succession after the '00H' data. The '110H' data is for generating a data window for a regenerative output of th nonobjective waveform, including a data train of the max. number of '0' data arranged on both sides of the '11' data of hexadecimal notation.
