Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform prescribed program search accurately, by recording a detection signal, which selects a music or a picture, on the prescribed track on a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:The frequency of a detection signal for program search is set below an audio frequency of 50Hz-20kHz of a voice recorded on the voice track 1a of a video tape 1. This detection signal is superposed upon the voice on the track 1a, recorded by utilizing the edge part of the track 1a, or recorded on the 4th track provided besides the voice track 1a, a picture track 1b and a control track 1c. Therefore, the detection signal is recorded on a prescribed track on the tape 1 at any time, so a magnetic heat capable of picking up this detection signal receives a preset detection signal to select a prescribed position on the tape 1 rapidly, thereby performing the program search.
