Title:
MAGNETIC REPRODUCER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57169907
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reproduce both of magnetic tapes of analog recording and PCM recording, by detecting the presence or absence of a synchronizing signal.

CONSTITUTION: A content recorded on a magnetic tape T is reproduced via a magnetic head H1 for analog and a magnetic head H2 for PCM to obtain respective reproducing signals (a) and (b). On the other hand, a switch control circuit CTL receives the output of a demodulation section DEM detecting a synchronizing signal and detects the presence or absnece of the synchronizing signal. When the synchronizing signal exists, a changeover switch SW is controlled in interlocking with a PCM signal to output a PCM reproducing signal (b). When no synchronizing signal exists, the switch SW is controlled to output an analog reproducing signal (a). Thus, reproducion can be made even when the magnetic tape T is recorded with PCM or analog signals.
