PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance apparatus that reduces signal nonuniformity in a slice direction of a slab.SOLUTION: An MR apparatus executes a sequence having a phase encoding gradient pulse to be applied in a slice direction of a slab and collects data from the slab. The apparatus includes scanning means that executes a sequence group G, which has multiple imaging sequences A different in phase encode quantity in the slice direction, multiple times. The scanning means provides waiting time W for reducing signal nonuniformity in the slice direction of the slab, before executing a subsequent sequence group Gafter executing a sequence group G.
