Title:
MAGNETIC RESONANCE APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05285117
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic resonance apparatus which requires few coils and generates at least equal and uniform magnetic fields of the inspection area. CONSTITUTION: This magnetic resonance apparatus comprises a magnetic system to generate a uniform magnetic field in an inspection space 5. An almost cylindrical electromagnetic coil system 1 comprises one or more coils, surrounds the inspection space, and is symmetrically placed against a symmetry axis 9 and a symmetry plane 11 extended perpendicular to the symmetry axis. A second almost cylindrical electromagnetic coil system 7 comprises one or more coils, and is symmetrically placed against the symmetry axis and the symmetry plane. Coil systems 7, 1 are concentrically placed and respective magnetic dipole moments are substantially equal to each other in the facing directions. The coil system 1 comprises a central coil 13 symmetrically placed against the symmetry plane 11 and two pairs of other coils, and the coil system 7 comprises a symmetrically placed central coil 21 and a pair of other coils 23.
