Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce a motion artifact in a short time with a simple system constitution by varying the one-time adding and averaging data number of echo data having different phase encode quantities at the time of adding and averaging the echo data.
CONSTITUTION: A pulse sequence for determining the diffusion of water in a living body tissue or the blood flow in the tissue is executed by a sequencer 2. On the other hand, the function as a variable encode adding averaging means for varying the one-time adding averaging data number of echo data having different phase encode quantities at the time of collecting a plurality of echo data by the same phase encode quantity followed by adding and averaging is given to a computer system 1, which then executes a variable encode averaging for increasing the adding averaging frequency of the echo data near zero- phase encode and reducing the adding averaging frequency in the peripheral area. Further, the processing for correcting the joint of mutually adjacent sets having different phase encode quantities is contained in the routine to be executed, and a linking generated on an image when the form information is image- displayed is suppressed.
