Title:
MAGNETIC RESONANCE SYSTEM AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING/TRACKING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3854667
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high resolution MR image of a tissue surrounding an invasion type device by assembling a small wireless frequency coil into a terminal of the device to allow monitoring of the position thereof in a body to be examined.
SOLUTION: The RF coil 200 of an apparatus 150 is connected electrically to an MR system through a first conductor 210, a second conductor 215 and a third conductor 220 and a first winding part 201 is mounted directly on the conductors 215 and 220 while a second winding part 202 directly on the conductors 220 and 210. The conductors 210 and 215 are encircled by the conductor 220 while being separated therefrom to form a pair of coaxial cables having a common external shield. The conductors 210, 215 and 220 and the RF coil 200 are wrapped with an external shell 230 of the apparatus 150. MR response signals from the first conductor 210, the second conductor 215 and the third conductor 220 are used for either purpose of tracking or imaging.
