The magnetic sensor device 1 is composed by integrating, in a single semiconductor chip, Hall elements 10X and 10Y, changeover switch circuits 20X and 20Y, amplifying circuits 30X and 30Y, sample hold circuits 40X and 40Y, comparison circuits 50X and 50Y, latch circuits 60X and 60Y, output circuits 70X and 70Y, control circuits 80X and 80Y and an oscillation circuit 90. The Hall elements 10X and 10Y are disposed at a prescribed inter-element distance d between them, and generate respectively a plurality of output signals OUTX and OUTY the respective logic levels of which change according to the intensity or the polarity of a detected magnetic field.
