Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an magnetic separation method, and an apparatus capable of magnetically separating prescribed mixed substances and keeping them in a high concentration by a magnetic force attributed to a enormous magnetic gradient.
SOLUTION: A pair of magnetized magnets 12 and 13 made of a Y or a Bi oxide high temperature superconductor are installed at about 20 mm distance between the both end faces 12A and 13A while being set on the opposite to the both side faces of a prescribe container 11. The prescribed mixed substances are passed between the end faces 12A and 13A of the magnets 12 and 13, so that the mixed substances are magnetically separated and kept by a enormous magnetic force generated between the end faces 12A and 13A.
