PURPOSE: To enable magnetic failure to be handled properly by providing a thermosetting resin film layer on a single surface or both surfaces of a shield layer consisting of a superconductor to a magnetic shield material.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic shield material consisting of a shield layer 2 and a thermosetting resin film layer 1 is produced, for example, by providing the shield layer 2 consisting of a superconductor onto a single surface of the thermosetting resin film 1 or by sandwiching the shield layer 2 consisting of a superconductor between two thermosetting resin films 1. Also, the shield layer can be formed by using a sheet-shaped superconductor which is created, for example, by a wet paper method or by providing a sintered particle of superconductor on the thermosetting resin film in layers. Therefore, a sufficient amount of flexibility can be obtained by utilizing flexibility of a thermosetting resin film itself and a magnetic shield property which is superb in low magnetic field region can be obtained by the superconductor.
