Title:
MAGNETIC SHIELD ROOM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2688889
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To cancel geomagnetism through simple structure by arranging a permanent magnet such that the direction of its magnetic field is opposite to that of the geomagnetism at a position where a barrier wall is installed.
CONSTITUTION: The barrier wall part 2A of a magnetic shield room 1A is covered by a magnet part 3A arranged such that the direction of magnetic field is opposite to that of geomagnetism at the position where the barrier wall is installed. Consequently, DC component of geomagnetism is canceled and magnetic shielding performance is enhanced for the variation component of field. It is effective to both DC and AC fields and can be manufactured inexpensively since external energy supply is not required as compared with a case employing an electromagnet. Furthermore, maintenance is facilitated while saving the installation space because only the permanent magnet part requires replacement. When the door of magnetic shield room is opened, the barrier wall made of high permeability material is not magnetized and fluctuation is suppressed in the demagnetization.
