Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the magnetic tape device for rewriting sub-data, such as start ID signal, recorded in sub-areas so as to start simultaneously with sound data by shifting only the sub-data by a prescribed quantity while allowing the sound data, such as music, recorded in a PCM (main) area to remain as it is at the time of executing after-recording. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic tape device leaves the sound data, such as music, recorded in the PCM (main) area of the many tracks 41 formed on a magnetic tape 22 as it is at the time of subjecting the magnetic tape as represented by R-DAT to post-recording. The device has the function to rewrite the sub-data so as to start simultaneously with the sound data by shifting only the sub-data, such as start ID signal and program number, recorded in the sub-areas 44 provided on both sides of the tracks 41 by the prescribed quantity.
