Abstract:
To obtain a magnetically responsive composition used to carry a substance for in vivo medical diagnosis and/or treatment.
This invention relates to the magnetically responsive composition comprising iron-ceramic particles used to carry the substances for in vivo medical diagnosis and/or treatment. The particles are formed by joint deformation of iron-ceramic powder. Diagnostic or therapeutic substances may be adsorbed thereon. The particles may be produced by mechanical milling of a mixture of iron and ceramic powder. The invention relates to a kit for administering a biologically active substance to an in vivo site in a patient, comprising a unit dose of composite ferroceramic particle.
