PURPOSE: To obtain an image good in image quality by attaching conductive particles made of polypyrrole to the surfaces of toner particles.

CONSTITUTION: A metal-coating plastic film is formed into a colorless conductive compd. in a pyrrole soln. of an org. compd. by electrochemical reaction, and it is pulverized to form conductive particles, and attached to the surfaces of toner particles prepared by binding a magnetic power and a colorant with a resin to form a magnetic toner. Since the conductive particles are colorless, even when this toner is used as a magnetic color toner, a clear color image can be obtained. Since the conductive particles are attached to the surfaces of the toner particles, agglomeration of the magnetic toner can be avoided.
