Abstract:
To provide a magnetic wire memory capable of forming a magnetic domain in a magnetic wire at high density.SOLUTION: A magnetic wire memory 1 includes at least one magnetic wire 2 made of a thin magnetic material, and a recording element 4 made of a conductor through which a recording current flows and arranged so as to intersect the magnetic wire 2 with an interlayer insulating film 3 interposed in the film thickness direction of the magnetic wire 2, the magnetic wire 2 has a concave portion 6 locally formed with a film thickness smaller than that in other regions in the longitudinal direction of the magnetic wire 2, and the concave portion 6 is arranged in a region 21 of a first predetermined length located adjacent to the recording element 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
