To provide a magnetizer advantageous for shorten a time required for magnetization and check of a quantity of magnetization, of bodies to be magnetized in a work.
The magnetizer is provided with a magnetization position 2 for magnetizing a body to be magnetized 12 of a work 1 having a plurality of bodies to be magnetized 12 disposed in a given direction. A movable magnetizing device 5 has a work-moving means 4 adapted for moving the work 1 to move the bodies to be magnetized 12 to pass through the magnetization position 2, a magnetizing means 5 for magnetizing a body to be magnetized 12 of a work 1 positioned in the magnetization position 2, and a magnetization-quantity checking means 7 adapted for checking a quantity of magnetization of a body to be magnetized 12 after magnetization. The magnetization-quantity checking means 7 retracts a body to be magnetized 12, which has been magnetized at the magnetization position 2, from the magnetization position 2 by operating the work-moving means 4 and checks the quantity of magnetization of a body to be magnetized 12 after magnetization during a time period until another body to be magnetized 12 which has not been magnetized is moved to reach the magnetization position 2 by operating the work-moving means 4.
