Abstract:
To provide a magnetizing method capable of easily forming a Halbach array magnet having a desired magnetic force when magnetizing a plurality of magnetic bodies in which at least a first magnetic body, a second magnetic body, and a third magnetic body are arranged side by side.SOLUTION: A magnetization method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure of magnetizing a plurality of magnetic bodies in which at least a first magnetic body (71), a second magnetic body (72), and a third magnetic body (73) are arranged side by side includes a heteropolar magnetization step. In the heteropolar magnetization step, magnetic fields of different polarities are generated in a first magnetizing yoke (11) and a second magnetizing yoke (21) that face each other in the radial direction via the first magnetic body (71) before magnetization, and magnetic fields of different polarities are generated in a third magnetizing yoke (31) and a fourth magnetizing yoke (41) that face each other in the radial direction via the third magnetic body (73) before magnetization. In the heteropolar magnetization step, the amount of magnetic flux flowing through the first magnetic body (71) is made larger than that of the third magnetic body (73).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
