PURPOSE: To provide a compact magnetohydrodynamic equipment, which interrupts leakage currents from an electrode end section and an upstream-end section channel and a downstream-end section channel and can prevent the deterioration of efficiency while being able to equalize the flow of a magnetohydrodynamic in a short approach-run section.
CONSTITUTION: A main body channel 11a, in which a conductive fluid is flowed while a magnetic field is formed as it cross at a right angle in the direction of the flow of this fluid and which has counter electrodes, an upstream-end section channel 11b and a downstream-end section channel 11c joined at the upstream end and downstream end of the main body channel 11a, and honeycomb ceramics 16a, 16b being mounted into the upstream-end section channel 11b and the downstream-end section channel 11c and having a latticed cross section are provided.
