Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve power generation efficiency by giving prewhirl to a high temperature rare gas under the ionized condition.

CONSTITUTION: A differential fluid 1 is introduced into an MHD power generator 5 as a high temperature conductive fluid to previously give a flowing velocity of the turning element with a guide vane 14. Since working fluid 1 receives a turning force in the inverse direction with respect to the prewhirl generated by the guide vane 14 by the mutual effect with an external magnetid field B, the prewhirl by the guide vane 14 and the prewhirl by an electromagnetic driving force are cancelled with each other and the working fluid 1 of the MHD channel 9c can maintain only the flowing velocity element in the flowing path direction. Therefore, in the power generating method where the Hall magnetic field generated in the flowing path direction is kept in the higher level and the guide vane 14 is caused to have the cross-sectional shape. The flowing path itself to be formed is designed to have the shape of supersonic nozzle and thereby the working fluid 1 is accelerated up to the ultra supersonic condition at the outside.
