Abstract:
To provide a magnetooptic body which is manufactured in a simple manufacturing process at low cost and preferably utilized for a Faraday rotator.
The magnetooptic body (10) includes a translucent amorphous magnetic thin film (2) for rotating a polarization face of incident light and dielectric multilayers (13) in which high refractive index layers (1a and 3a) and low refractive index layers (1b and 3b) are alternately laminated on each of both main faces of the light-transmissive amorphous magnetic thin film (2), the incident light is reciprocally transmitted between the dielectric multilayers (13) in the amorphous magnetic thin film (2).
