Abstract:
To provide a magnetostriction vibrator that can suppress the Q of a resonance frequency and transmit/receive a short ultrasonic wave pulse with high resolution.
The magnetostriction vibrator is provided with a magnetostriction element that transduces an electric signal into an ultrasonic wave signal and a binding material to bind the surrounding of the magnetostriction element, and suppresses an expansion ratio of the magnetostriction element in an axial direction so as to suppress the mechanical Q of the resonance in the magnetostriction element.
