To provide a cylindrical magnifier which is attached to a shaft cylinder of a writing material, and also, to provide the writing material with the magnifier attached to the shaft cylinder of the writing material where the magnifier is independently usable when the writing material is in use, and also, which does not spoil design properties in terms of the whole shape of the writing material.

The magnifier to be attached to the writing material is formed to a cylindrical shape constituted of two sections of narrow and wide width parts, whereat the front is made narrow in width and the rear is made wider in width than the front. A cavity part is arranged at the open rear end part of the shaft cylinder of the writing material. The magnifier is freely attachably/detachably fitted to the rear end of the writing material by inserting the narrow width part of the magnifier to be attached to the writing material into the cavity part of the shaft cylinder and exposing the wide width part from the rear end of the shaft cylinder.
