Abstract:
To provide a Magnus-type thrust generation device which can efficiently obtain a rotation force by Magnus power generated at cylinder blades.SOLUTION: A Magnus-type thrust generation device 1 comprises: a plurality of cylinder blades 4 which can revolve around a first rotation axis O1, and can each rotate around a second rotation axis O2 parallel with the first rotation axis; a plurality of rectification plates 5 which constitute respective groups together with the plurality of cylinder blades 4, and whose longitudinal directions are arranged along axial directions of the cylinder blades 4 of the groups; and a support part 6 which can rotate around the first rotation axis O1 by being fixed to a rotation part 3, supports the cylinder blades 4 on a circumference C1 around the first rotation axis O1 at the respective groups, and supports the rectification plates 5 at a side opposite to a progress direction when the cylinder blades 4 revolve. At least a part of front-end edge parts 50c of the rectification plates 5 with respect to the progress direction exists in a region ZA1 on a plane perpendicular to the first rotation axis O1 and the second rotation axis O2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
