Title:
MAIN BEARING FOR CRANK SHAFT OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2019049272
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a main bearing for a crank shaft of an internal combustion engine, which has superior foreign matter discharging properties.SOLUTION: The main bearing for supporting a journal part rotatably is provided that comprises a first and a second half-split bearings which are configured to form, when combined together, axial grooves extending over the overall axial length of the main bearing on inner circumferential surface sides of respective abutting parts. Each of the first and the second half-split bearings has a main cylinder part including a circumferential center part of a half-split bearing and a crush relief part. An oil groove is formed in an inner circumferential surface of the first half-split bearing, a circumferential end part on a rear side in the rotating direction, of the crank shaft is located at the crush relief part, and a circumferential end part on a front side is located at the crush relief part or circumferential end surface. A partial groove is formed in an inner circumferential surface of the second half-split bearing, and open only on the circumferential end surface on the front side in the rotating direction, of the crank shaft, the oil groove and partial groove have groove-width centers aligned with each other, and an opening of the partial groove of the second half-spit bearing is shielded by the circumferential end surface of the first half-split bearing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
