Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main bearing for a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, that excels in discharging performance of foreign matters and excels in oil supply to a crank pin part side.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a main bearing 4 has first and second half bearings 41, 42, and an axial groove 77 is formed on the inner peripheral surface side of butting portions of the half bearings. Each half bearing has a main cylindrical part 71 and crush relief parts 70 at both circumferential ends. In each crush relief part, plural crush relief grooves 74 extend in the circumferential direction, and an oil groove 41a is formed only in the inner peripheral surface of the first half bearing to extend in the circumferential direction. One circumferential end of the oil groove is opened at the circumferential end face on the front side in the rotation direction, and the other circumferential end of the oil groove is situated in the crush relief part on the rear side in the rotation direction. The first half bearing has a transition region 73 between the crush relief part on the front side in the rotation direction and the main cylindrical part, and the second half bearing has a transition region 73 between the crush relief part on the rear side in the rotation direction and the main cylindrical part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
