The main engine electric motor control equipment of the rolling mill roll in this continuous mill has a control section 22 which outputs the circumferential speed correction value ΔV1-ΔVn-1 to drive units 16-21 respectively and a successive control section 23 which controls the circumferential speed correction value ΔV1-ΔVn-1 to be output to each drive unit 16-19 of low response type electric motors 7-10. In addition, this equipment has a compensation element 24 in which the circumferential speed correction value ΔVn-1 is input in correspondent to a high response type electric motor 11 located in adjoined upstream, and a high-pass filter 25, in which circumferential speed correction value ΔVn-1 is input and from which circumferential speed correction value ΔVn' is output to a high response type electric motor 12 located in the downstream.
