Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main shaft device which can surely suppress the chatter vibration.SOLUTION: A main shaft device comprises a housing 10, a main shaft 20 which holds a rotating tool 21, and a support device which rotatably supports the main shaft to the housing. The support device comprises: rolling bearings 41, 42 which are arranged at an external peripheral face of the main shaft; one piece of an outer ring support body 50 which supports outer rings of the rolling bearings; and two pieces of viscous elastic bearings 61, 62 which are arranged at two points different in an axial direction of the main shaft between radial directions of the housing and the outer ring support body, support the outer ring support body to the housing, and have attenuation coefficients C larger than attenuation coefficients possessed by the rolling bearing.
