Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main spindle device which performs controlling so as to periodically change a flow rate of a fluid supplied to a damping addition bearing that rotatably supports a main spindle, to thereby inhibit vibration of the main spindle while inhibiting heat generation of the fluid of the damping addition bearing, and is used in a machine tool.SOLUTION: A main spindle device 1 includes: a main spindle 20 which holds a tool and is rotationally driven; a damping addition bearing 50 which receives a supplied fluid to inhibit vibration of the main spindle 20; a fluid supply device 60 which supplies the fluid to the damping addition bearing 50 and may adjust a flow rate Q of the fluid; and a control device 80 which periodically changes the flow rate Q of the fluid supplied by the fluid supply device 60.
