Abstract:
PURPOSE: To miniaturize the axial dimension of a turning body, so that a turning mechanism of the turning body may not become the obstacle by holding an article to be processed by means of strong clamp force by a cylinder, in a main spindle device for performing the processing of the article to be processed from both end directions.
CONSTITUTION: A clamp claw 42 for clamping a flange part 3 of an article to be processed 1 is provided. A clamp operating means 51 provided with a cylinder 52 for opening/closing the clamp claw 42, and capable of holding the supplying state of operating fluid to this cylinder 52 is provided. An operating fluid supplying/discharging means 61 attachably/detachably connected to the clamp operating means 51, and for supplying/discharging operating fluid in relation to the clamp operating means 51 is provided. Even if the operating fluid supplying/discharging means 61 is separated from the clamp operating means 51, the clamp operating means 51 keeps the operating state of the cylinder 52 and holds the closed state of the clamp claw 42. A rotational driving force receiving part 24 for receiving the rotational driving force from the driving means is provided on the outer peripheral center area of a turning body 22.
