Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance device for an ink jet printer capable of suppressing occurrence of noise without complicating a work or a structure of the device.
SOLUTION: In the device for sucking a waste ink, a cap 12 for sucking the ink and a waste ink unit are connected with a sucking tube 20 and a negative pressure is generated in the sucking tube 20 by a tube pump 30. The tube pump 30 is constituted of a holder 33 that holds to nip the sucking tube 20 between the holder 33 and a guide wall 32, a plurality of bearing grooves 38 formed on the holder 33, a pressurizing roller 50 that is guided by each bearing groove 38 to moves between a pressing position 41 and a non-pressing position 42 and narrows a tube path by pressing the sucking tube 20 when moving to the pressing position 41 and open the narrowed tube path of the sucking tube 20 when moving to the non-pressing position 42, and a plate spring members 60 each being provided near the respective bearing groove 38. The urging force along the elastic force of the sucking tube 20 applied to the pressing roller 50 when opening the tube path is absorbed by the plate spring member 60.
