To provide a slope maintenance method of a good economical efficiency for a skiing ground, which minimizes melting snow to the least by an artificial snowfall machine while a sufficient amount of snow is secured at an opening time.
The slope maintenance method for the skiing ground is provided with the first process of spraying artificial snow of a mountain shape on the skiing slope 2 by using the artificial snowfall machine 1 and heaping up a plurality of the artificial snow mountains 3 on the skiing slope before the time of opening the skiing ground, the second process of compacting the snow mountains by applying pressure to make hard compacted lumps 5 and keeping them on standby just before the opening of the skiing ground and furthermore the third process of loosening the compacted snow lumps 5 right before the opening of the skiing ground and spreading the snow over the whole slope as well as compacting it almost evenly so that the skiing slope is prepared and ready for skiing.
