To solve the problem that much time and complicated assembling operations are conventionally required because the operations of the assembly/disassembly of a scaffold and the shift of the scaffold to another loading room have to be repeated during the maintenance operations such as the cleaning of the loading room of a bulk carrier.

The maintenance scaffold for the bulk carrier is provided with a base carriage, the lower portion of which is provided with a caster and a tread, and an oblique erection frame with a tread and a protruding portion which protrudes in one lateral direction from the base carriage; a plurality of steps of vertical erection frames are provided on the protruding portion of the oblique erection frame; a tread and a handrail frame are provided on the uppermost step of the vertical erection frames; and a balance weight with a weight corresponding to the weight of the protruding portion of the oblique erection frame and the plurality of steps of vertical erection frames is provided on the base carriage. The maintenance scaffold for the bulk carrier is assembled by its assembling method.
