PURPOSE: To provide a method for maintaining snow piled on an indoor artificial skiing ground with cooling cost reduction for the maintenance of the snow.

CONSTITUTION: In a method for maintaining snow piled in an artificial skiing ground provided in a building with a slope 4 piling artificial snow 12 thereon, a refrigerant circulating pipe 7 is installed through a heat insulating layer 5 on the upper part of a foundation board of the slope 4 to be connected to a refrigerant feeder while a curtain-like sheet body 27 placed in intimate contact with the upper surface of snow piled on the slope and formed at least on one surface facing the slope with an aluminum layer is adapted to removably cover the snow so that the refrigerant passes through the pipe 7 to cool the artificial snow 12.
