PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration of a magnet on processing and to improve the yield by impregnating a magnet with non magnetic material such as resin, hardening, and coating non magnetic material such as polymer or low melting point metal on the magnet.
CONSTITUTION: Non magnetic material such as resin is impregnated in a magnet previously and cured, where resin impregnated part 10a is represented by oblique lines, and on the surface of the magnet 10 non magnetic polymer material containing reinforcing material such as alumina powder or glass powder is coated to form a guard layer 10b. A compressed air jet 12 and vacuum suction 13 are provided to remove magnet powder on laser rariation 11. The magnet is fixed with a chuck 14 drived by hydrostatic pressure on laser processing to prevent occurrence of cracks and breaking.
