To provide a man-powered vehicle with an electric motor, which can be obtained by simply remodeling an ordinary bicycle and the like, wherein the number of parts is restrained small with a simple constitution for miniaturizing the vehicle, and almost all the movable parts are eliminated for improving detection accuracy of a pedaling force.
This vehicle comprises an electric motor (34), which is accommodated in a hub (28) of a driving wheel and fixed to a frame (10); a speed reduction gear (40), which is accommodated in the hub (28) and held in the electric motor (34) for transferring the rotation of the electric motor (34) to the hub (28); a rotation manual member (30a), which is axially movably attached to the hub (28) via a torsion spline mechanism (48) having a rolling member, and is rotatably driven by a manual-driving power, and a non-displacement type load sensor (42), which is accommodated in the hub (28) for detecting an axial load applied to the rotation input member (30a) by man driving power.
