Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management device capable of passing over control of a communication device hitherto controlled by a controller now in trouble to another controller.SOLUTION: Provided is a communication system in which communication devices belonging to a network are grouped into a plurality of groups, and a plurality of controllers corresponding to each of the plurality of groups are provided, each controller controlling the communication devices of the corresponding group. In this communication system, a management device for managing the plurality of controllers comprises: determination means for determining a fault state of the plurality of controllers; selection means for selecting, on the basis of a load value indicating a load state of the plurality of controllers, one or more controllers for taking over control of communication devices of a group corresponding the controller now in a fault state; and notification means for notifying the takeover destination controller selected by the selection means to the effect that control of the communication devices of the group corresponding the controller now in a fault state is to be taken over.
